PC Games 5 years ago: A few days ago alleged screenshots of Gothic 3 are: Götterdämmerung surfaced. However, there were doubts as to the authenticity of the leaked images. Some fans suspect that the snapshots are taken from an early alpha version of the main game. Publisher JoWood has now turned to the editors of pcgames.de and makes a statement for clarity.

PC Games 5 years ago: After today about Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods and associated squabbles reported around the published screenshots to JoWood now expressed to pcgames.de on this topic. On the points raised is not the way a true, for it invites the Austrian publishers all players to make themselves at the upcoming Games Convention itself an image of the title.

It follows the original statement from JoWood:

Dear Editor,

we can confirm that the screenshots from the current Gothic 3 coming add-on version. Energy beams and compass were displayed from an old version, but only for our developers to help / for orientation. Technically, we can offer some improvements, the add-on, but these are in development and will be incorporated to the Games Convention final in the game.

The developers are currently working on the game world, the characters and the quests. Here we want to restore the depth to build on the "original games" and pull the player back into the spell of the Gothic series.

We sincerely invite all players to the Games Convention in order to test the game on the spot. There we will be happy to answer any questions the players directly and, above all, may shine with a playable version.
