Long enough game developers have relied solely on the sales-promoting factor of celebs. Who had the necessary budget, committed ado a star from the film and music business. Of course, below-average games bob up and down on the same low quality, as without prominence. So degenerates Bruce Lee: Quest of the Dragon, despite presence of Chinese martial arts icon to a barren Whipper. A similar fate divides Britney's Dance Beat. Even fans of the blond Popbraut leaves the dance mat game largely cold, because the song selection lean fails. The celebrity strategy helped in both cases little, the games have flopped and sank into insignificance.
For some time, however, a change of thinking seems to have taken place. The Chronicles of Riddick - Escape from Butcher Bay and the successor Assault on Dark Athena enjoy a respectable reputation in the press and players. Convince plot, presentation and gameplay, forming with Hollywood star Vin Diesel, who plays the protagonist Riddick, a kind of unity. A commendable performance is game designer Tim Schaefer succeeded. In close cooperation with actor Jack Black, the action-adventure Brütal Legend was born. Black lends it the character of Eddie Riggs not only his face and the unmistakable voice: He lives this character literally. This is particularly noticeable in the dialogues that turn out wonderfully funny.
