Hammer Point Interactive, the creators of The War Z is, committed a serious error a few days ago. A change in the database players had temporarily free access to all in-game items. The exploit quickly made the rounds, total items were purchased for a total of nearly 14 million U.S. dollars.

Once again there are big fuss about The War Z: The responsible development studio Hammer Point Interactive has made a few days ago changes to the database, among other things, the ingame currency Gold Coins (abbreviated GC) concern. Here, however, there was a curious error, whereby all GC transactions were not recorded with the user accounts. Fans of the Zombie Shooters were as free shopping in the Online Store - without even having to pay for a single cent. As Hammer Point Interactive was aware of the problem, the exploit had already attracted wide circles.

Within a few hours of player-game items purchased in value of two billion gold coins, equivalent to nearly 14 million U.S. dollars. In response, Hammer Point Interactive has taken the game server from the network immediately. All items that were found or purchased after the exploit, disappear from the inventory.
